IPCom enters strategic partnership with Langbo

Munich, Feb. 14th, 2022 - IPCom is pleased to announce that it has entered a new strategic partnership with Shanghai Langbo Communication Technology Company Ltd. Based in Shanghai, China. Langbo is a 5G technology pioneer that focuses on 4G & 5G SEP creation, identification, and exploitation. IPCom considers that both companies are very similarly situated, with IPCom’s main focus being R&D, patent prosecution and licensing.

Under the strategic partnership, both companies will be handling patent prosecution services for each other: with IPCom’s in-house attorneys filing and prosecuting Langbo’s European Patent applications, and Langbo guiding IPCom’s filings through the CNIPA application process.

Langbo has very high-profile inventors with strong technical innovation competence in 5G and wireless telecommunications coming from such international R&D powerhouses as Sony, Huawei, Intel, Bosch and more. As both teams have 10-20 years’ work experience and diversified background, we’re expecting that the new partnership will help grow and enhance each of the two companies.

IPCom and Langbo strongly believe in handling prosecution themselves and see it as a safeguard for the quality of patents, that would later be used in licensing and litigation. The alliance will help both teams to maximize patent value by being able to monitor the prosecution processes from start to end. With attorneys and inventors closely working together, both companies see it as the most efficient way of getting a granted SEP, which is a crucial part in the process of obtaining a patent.
